New build in Dalmatia

Five projects from construction, refurbishment and site management — each with the condition beforehand and the result. The photographs come from the sites themselves, not from a stock library.

The original bathroom had a cramped shower cubicle and tiling from the time of construction. It was replaced by a level-access shower with a rain head, large-format tiles and a glass screen.

Mould had been growing behind the bath and the stud wall for months. Strip-out back to the shell, drying, new services and a new build-up — documented from the damage to the finished surfaces.

Weathered render, an old roof and a timber balcony railing. After the work: a new roof covering, a solid balustrade, a natural stone base and a newly laid out garden.

A decayed timber palisade was no longer holding the slope above the road. It was replaced by a fair-faced concrete wall 35 metres long and 3.5 metres high on a bored pile foundation.
